During the COVID lockdown, and after a quiet time for Extinction Rebellion, in 2021 my XR activist friend Marcelle Coburn and I were talking about how to get XR up and active again. We discussed how to communicate with other activists and how to make our actions safe...we decided that sea level rise and flooding caused by Climate Change should be the theme and that instead of people traveling across the country to join actions, that the actions should take place in local coastal areas and that the mass movement would take place over four days like a wave around the coast in the run up to G7.
We drew up a Proposal and Action Plan and after XR approval set about emailing any contacts we could find and sent these documents and invitations to zoom meetings...

THE LOCAL PRESS COVERAGE AROUND THE COUNTRY WAS WONDERFUL INCLUDING A DOUBLE PAGE SPREAD IN THE ECOLOGIST
